Jingyang Dong is a New York–based Chinese-American pianist and educator, recognized for her expressive artistry and meaningful musical engagement. She holds a Master’s degree in Piano Performance from the Mannes School of Music, as well as a Master’s degree in Business Administration. She is a signed artist with Concerts in Motion and an active presence in the New York classical music scene.  She is also the founder of Espoir Music Collective, through which she is currently developing and producing concert programs that aim to foster artistic collaboration and community engagement.

As a performer, Jingyang appears widely as both a soloist and chamber musician. Her playing is noted for its sensitivity, clarity, and communicative depth, reflecting her belief in music as a living dialogue between performer and audience. Through her work with Concerts in Motion and other outreach initiatives, she brings live classical music beyond traditional concert halls to audiences across New York and New Jersey.

 

In addition to her performing career, Jingyang is a dedicated educator and the founder of Jing D. Music Studio, where she cultivates young musicians through a thoughtful and comprehensive approach that integrates technical foundation, artistic expression, and individualized development. She has been recognized as a Steinway Top Teacher, underscoring her commitment to excellence in piano pedagogy.

 

Her students have earned top prizes in international competitions, including the Artciál International Piano Competitionand the San Francisco International Piano Competition, and have received recognition in the 7th Dan Zhaoyi Piano Teaching Showcase in China. Several students have been selected for distinguished programs such as the Future Young Steinway Artist Workshop and have achieved outstanding results in graded examinations. In the summer of 2025, one of her nine-year-old students performed Piano Concerto No. 8 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart at the Ehrbar Saal in Vienna in collaboration with the Savaria Symphony Orchestra—an experience highlighting both musical refinement and early artistic achievement.

 

A passionate advocate for music outreach, Jingyang regularly participates in charitable performances and collaborative projects throughout New York and New Jersey. Her work includes memorial concerts, benefit performances, and community-based initiatives that bring music into spaces of care, connection, and reflection. She believes strongly in the power of music to enrich lives, foster empathy, and create meaningful human connection.
