Dong Jingyang holds a Master’s degree in Piano Performance from the Mannes School of Music in New York City, as well as a Master’s degree in Business Administration. She is a signed artist with Concerts in Motion and an active emerging pianist in New York’s classical music scene, recognized as a Steinway Top Teacher. She is also the founder of Jing D. Music Studio, where she cultivates young musicians and nurtures their artistic growth.
A versatile performer in both solo and chamber settings, Dong is known for her expressive playing and her dedication to connecting deeply with audiences. In addition to her performing career, she is a committed educator whose students have earned top prizes in international competitions, including the Artciál International Piano Competition and the San Francisco International Piano Competition, as well as recognition in the 7th Dan Zhaoyi Piano Teaching Showcase in China. Some of her students have been selected for distinguished programs such as the Future Young Steinway Artist Workshop and have achieved outstanding results in graded examinations.
In the summer of 2025, one of her nine-year-old students performed Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 8 at the Ehrbar Saal in Vienna in collaboration with the Savaria Symphony Orchestra from Hungary—an experience highlighting both musical refinement and meaningful early-stage performance.
Deeply committed to community engagement, Dong actively participates in charitable performances across New York and New Jersey. In addition to her work with Concerts in Motion, she frequently collaborates with fellow musicians in benefit concerts and outreach events, bringing live music to diverse audiences and supporting local initiatives.
A native of Hunan, China, Dong began studying piano at the age of eight and was recognized early for her musical talent. She has received numerous awards in regional and provincial competitions, including the distinction of “City Art Hundred Artists.”
